Chickpea Burgers

16 oz. cooked mashed and drained chickpeas
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons Lewis Labs Brewer's Yeast™ Flakes
1/4 teaspoon coriander
1 tablespoon soft breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon black pepper, turmeric
2 tablespoon minced parsley
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon crisp bread crumbs (for rolling)
 

Mix all the ingredients together. 

Chill, then shape into 1" bars.
Roll in the breadcrumbs.
Fry or grill until golden brown (approximately 5 minutes on each side).
Serve with tomato sauce or "golden gravy" (see recipe).

Serves four. Note: burgers freeze well before or after cooking.
